Heading a team of Plant Operations (Production, Planning, Quality, Engineering, Warehouse, Admin, HR/IR and Logistics). “Core Strategic Team Member” of the India Foods Business Ensuring that each department in the plant is aligned to the business strategy. Responsible for the profit center P&L and ensuring benchmark targets are achieved Working on 1 year, 3 year and 5 year strategic business plans. Production Planning and execution as per the market requirement. Achieving 100% market serviceability.(All time in Full) Identifying bottlenecks in the process and correcting the same. Monitoring inventory levels and Material planning. Determination of Machinery, Material and Manpower availability for smooth execution of production plan. Trouble shooting on issues related people, systems, processes and maintenance. CAPEX with budget preparation for fixed and variable costs. Ensuring In-process checks are in place and are effectively working to get best product with required quality parameters. Optimization of production costs in terms of power consumption, manpower costs, maintenance costs, fuel costs (per ton of production) as per the budget. Tracking material yields and variance. Plant logistics management. Implementation of best systems like HACCP, 5S and KAIZEN Monitoring compliance of Statutory Requirements. ERP System (SAP etc) compliance. Appraisals, Training and Development of subordinates. Assigning goals /objectives to team members and review their performance. Ensuring that these goals are achieved by them. Ensuring the employee safety at workplace and implement safe work practices. Motivating the team towards continuous improvements (under taking projects on optimization of wastages & incurring savings) so as to achieve organizational goals.
