About Arsham Vahid

I’ve always been fascinated by how the world of finance operates—like an intricate dance where every move can change the outcome. My journey started with a spark of curiosity about market dynamics and has blossomed into a deep-seated passion for turning complex data into actionable insights. Completing my Master’s degree at McMaster University was not just an academic milestone; graduating in the top 10% of my class reinforced my commitment to understanding capital markets. In my role as a Trading Floor Coordinator at DeGroote School of Business, I had the privilege of coordinating operations for over 100 finance students each week. Watching them engage with real-world trading scenarios was incredibly rewarding—it reminded me of my own early days filled with questions and excitement about market behavior. It's fulfilling to help others grasp these concepts while honing my leadership skills. As a Quantitative Analyst, I dove deep into data-driven finance through projects like conducting comprehensive ESG modeling on Canadian companies. This experience sharpened my analytical skills and helped me appreciate the importance of sustainable investing in today’s financial landscape—a topic I’m genuinely passionate about. During my time as an Investment Advisor at Top Nut, I developed tailored investment strategies for over 50 clients, achieving an average portfolio growth of 15% within the first year. The joy of seeing clients satisfied with their financial progress is what drives me to continue pushing boundaries in this field. Outside work, I enjoy staying active through community volunteering and participating in finance-related clubs where I can share insights and learn from others’ experiences.
