For 24 years, Art Rountree has been a respected developer in Metro Atlanta. With experience ranging from single-family homes to in-town condominiums and retail space to historic office complexes, the Director of Operations for Kairos Development has an impressive record of quality projects totaling over $250 Million that are designed to stand the test of time. For Art, that commitment to quality extends beyond the walls of the building. With each project that Kairos undertakes, Art and his team gather insight from the surrounding area by meeting with the residents of adjacent neighborhoods to address concerns, share their views, and open their plans to neighborhood input and ideas. The extra step to integrate the project into the neighborhood, combined with the high quality materials, excellent architectural and design team, and skilled workmanship overseen by Art, delivers a lasting, quality finished product. From ground up development to historic renovation and preservation, the projects in Art’s portfolio reflect that steadfast quality. Art and his team recognized the importance of preserving the architectural history while still providing the capacity for cutting edge technology at the historic BuggyWorks and Jefferson Station office complex in East Point, GA. In Atlanta’s Peachtree Battle neighborhood, Art oversaw the development of The Astoria at The Aramore, a luxury, mixed-use condo and office tower designed to fit perfectly in the historic neighborhood. It is also now home to nationally acclaimed restaurants Holeman and Finch and Restaurant Eugene. His oversight of the renovation of Sheridan Hills Parc, a condo complex built in the 1940’s, to exceed the modern standard of city living earned Art the Atlanta Urban Commission Award of Excellence for Historic Preservation. Art holds his General Contractor’s license in the state of Georgia and is also active in various industry-specific organizations, including the National Association of Home Builders.
