Conduct individual counseling and psychosocial assessments for patients in a clinical setting requiring exceptional listening skills and quick thinking assessment and treatment evaluation skills. • Complete wellness planning using all the skills and tools necessary including PSYCKES, EXTENDEDCARE, ALLSCRIPTS and Provider Connect for discharge planning under very timely and pressured situations requiring independent thinking skills to collaborate with the team to maximize patient turnaround in a conservative fiscal environment yet insuring high quality patient care standards. • Provide clinical assessments for managed care insurance providers, including Medicaid to generate financial authorization for clinical admission for treatment of services. • Assess addiction, medical, psychological and social cultural issues and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the medical team. • Use Motivational Interviewing and CBT methods to treat patients from an evidence based perspective following best practice guidelines from the American Board of Addiction Medicine in support of the short-term intensive nature of our program • Facilitat group therapy focusing on addiction education and motivation assessment, which included supporting patients in the recognizing and addressing of their particular addictions, and to encourage healthy choices during their transition to the next level of care after a safe detoxification. • Coordinat referrals and provided medical insurance and transportation for patient transfers between hospitals when there was no availability for admission to our facility. Including legal and guardian release and transfer to state and private facilities for psychiatric care for adults and pediatric psychiatric emergencies admissions.
