With a distinguished academic background and a deep commitment to innovative teaching methods, I bring over eight years of dedicated experience in the education sector. My journey began with a Master's in Education from the American Museum of Natural History, where I graduated as valedictorian, and a Bachelor's in Geology summa cum laude from the University at Buffalo, complemented by a Bachelor's in Fine Arts from CUNY Hunter College. My academic pursuits have been recognized with prestigious awards such as the Noyce and Davis Fellowship and the Gilbert Jaffe Memorial Award. My professional journey has been characterized by a series of impactful roles, including serving as a teacher with the New York City Department of Education at PSX442 Celia Cruz Bronx High School of Music, where I've taught Earth Science, Environmental Science, and Agricultural Science. Additionally, my roles as a Science Department Representative, Team Leader, and Peer Collaborative Teacher/Coach underscore my leadership and commitment to collaborative professional growth. My work extends beyond the classroom to significant contributions in educational research and professional development, notably with the American Museum of Natural History, where I focus on Culturally Responsive and Sustaining Education in Science.
