I worked in Citigroup Transaction Services (M) Sdn Bhd for 3 years and 4 months as a Transaction Analyst. During my tenure with the company I picked up extensive trade finance knowledge related to letter of credit (LC) as well as the financing of trade transactions. I was rated as highly effective by my direct manager throughout my 3 years plus in Citigroup. I left Citigroup in April 2015 for Thomson Reuters, working in the new company as a Research Analyst focused on enhanced due diligence research. I was promoted to Lead Analyst eight months into the job. My inclination to take up new challenges led me to participate as a pioneering team member of the Risk Managed Services pilot project in Thomson Reuters which ran from September – December 2016. The project aimed to combine resources of two departments in the company, and as a pioneering member I was involved in assisting the team lead to identify process and operational issues that arise throughout the project. On top of that, I was the top performer in terms of productivity in the team and served as a mentor figure to other teammates. In January 2017, I was promoted as a Research Supervisor. As a Research Supervisor, I lead a team of analyst and guide them to achieve organizational goals (productive targets / quality metrics), allocate research cases and managed team capacity as well as communicated to the team constantly to keep them motivated. I have a proven track record throughout my career where I’ve obtained very good performance ratings in both Citigroup and Thomson Reuters.
