About Arthur Pishenko

Two years of experience in large scale chemistry manufacturing. This helped me develop skills in adhering to strict GDP and GMP standards, prioritizing laboratory safety and efficiency, taking lead on projects and material requisition, and coming up with new innovations to streamline the manufacturing process. I became experienced in all the different processes in Upstream production and became a trainer for new chemists. I also cross trained on HPLC and lyophilizer purification and communicated with other departments. Worked with UV-Vis spectrometers, HPLC, Lyophilizers, large-scale synthesis and cleavage reactors ranging from 75 L to 360 L, L buffer tanks, and a large-scale TFA cleavage skid that had over 10 vessels.I also had 2 years of undergrad research experience in the James Nowick lab at UC Irvine. This involved solid-phase peptide synthesis, HPLC purification, and analytical methods such as HPLC, Mass spectrometry, X-ray crystallography, NMR, and Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) assays. This job involved lots of interactions with other climbers and youth camp participants. I took the opportunity to learn as much as I can in supervising a rock wall facility on my own during open hours, creatively making new climbing routes, and learning a lot about safety.
