About Arthur Ritchie

Arthur Ritchie is a DOT-qualified Substance Abuse Professional and Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) who specializes in providing services in the substance use recovery field. In 2008, Arthur joined Max Burkins & Associates, LLC to deliver the Bureau of Workers Compensation Drug-Free Safety Program (DFSP) training to Ohio employers. Arthur became the controlling partner of Burkins, Ritchie & Associates, LLC in 2010 and significantly expanded the services offered to our partner companies. Arthur regularly travels throughout Ohio to conduct professional development seminars, and to assist companies with the implementation of effective Employee Assistance Provider (EAP) services, including substance abuse prevention and wellness programs, and presentations to highlight essential initiatives to promote workplace safety and enhance employee wellness, engagement, and retention, such as work-life balance, efficient stress management, and strategies to prevent workplace harassment and discrimination. Arthur earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Union College and his certification from the University of Akron in Advanced Addiction Services with Honors. Arthur is certified as a CEAP by the American Employee Assistance Professional Association (EAPA), is a US Department of Transportation (DOT)-qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), and is a member in good standing with the NAADAC, the National Association for Addiction Professionals, and the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM). Arthur is a Certified Professional Collector by the National Drug and Alcohol Screening Association (NDASA) and certified oral fluid drug testing for Clinical Reference Laboratories (CRL) in Lenexa, KS. Burkins, Ritchie & Associates, LLC has also been a Licensed Training Provider (LTP) for the American Red Cross since 2001.
