Background
About Arthur Seamans
I grew up in upstate New York in a very devout family. Most of my relatives were in the Church of the Nazarene, a holiness denomination similar in theology to Methodism. I attended Eastern Nazarene College (B.A.), Boston University (M.A.), and the University of Maryland (Ph.D.). Before beginning college teaching I taught at several preparatory schools. Most of my life has been dedicated to teaching at Nazarene universities. More and more I am moving into writing and I write not to be just a writer but as a means of expression or persuasion. Every summer I go to the Tamarack Writers Conference at Big Moose Lake, N.Y. I continue to be active in the intellectual life at Point Loma Nazarene University.
