About Arthur Stanley

Arthur Stanley is one of Sydney's most experienced media and communications professionals, having spent 45 years in media and corporate communications roles. He is General Manager Media & Communications at VenuesLive, the company that manages Accor Stadium (Stadium Australia) and CommBank Stadium in Sydney, Industree Group Stadium on the NSW Central Coast and Optus Stadium in Perth, along with the catering operations at a number of boutique venues. In 2017, Australian Leisure Management magazine named him Communications Executive of the Year, one of numerous awards in recognition of his work. In his VenuesLive NSW role, he is responsible for all government and key stakeholder communications; devising strategy; organising events; promoting a dynamic events schedule; managing content for mainstream media, stakeholders and for the Stadium website and social media channels; and providing extensive communications support for the various Stadium departments. He also oversees the Stadium’s Ambassador Program and Charity & Community Program. Arthur has previously held a number of senior roles in mainstream media, including News Editor/Sport at The Daily Telegraph for 11 years. He was a senior editorial member of The Olympian – the 40-page daily Olympic newspaper that was produced during the Sydney Olympics – and he has covered numerous major stories in both news and sport as a reporter. He is an experienced publisher, editor and sub-editor. Arthur worked as Sydney Lord Mayor Doug Sutherland’s media advisor. He is also the author or editor of 14 books in the fields of sport, wellness and human potential, including former Australian cricket coach Justin Langer's book The Power of Passion. He has co-published several magazines, and driven their financial success as Brand and Commercial Manager.
