About Arthur Vilner

I am a Senior Manager within Laurentian Bank’s Real Estate Financing division. Our group primarily finances development projects of all sizes across Quebec. My portfolio consists of key players in Montreal's real estate industry, namely the city's top developers and large operators of income-generating real estate assets. We provide the following types of credit facilities- interim construction loans for various product types (high-rise and low-rise condos, townhouse complexes, retail strip malls, multi-unit residential properties, industrial and office spaces, etc.)- pre-development loans against land to be developed in the near future- servicing loans to assist with land servicing costs- revolving operating lines secured by revenue-generating real estate assets. My current role includes- structuring new financing requests- underwriting and negotiating new business (majority of which consists of construction loans, as well as land banks, commercial mortgages, and operating lines secured by real estate assets)- the ongoing credit analysis of existing client loans- visiting active construction sites to monitor projects which we are currently financing- day-to-day tasks which include the monitoring and control of our clients' accounts, following for documents, correspondence with lawyers, notaries, quantity surveyors, appraisers, as well as various cooperating departments within the Bank. Born and raised in Toronto, I moved to Montreal in April 2013.
