Art has been involved in all tax aspects of due diligence, transaction structuring and review of transaction-related documents. He has experience advising on a variety of mergers and acquisitions, including post-merger integration, global effective tax rate efficiencies and defending transactions in tax controversies. Art has extensive experience serving domestic and international taxpayers with transactions in a variety of spaces, including financial services, technology, life sciences, manufacturing, consumer products and services and energy in more than 40 countries throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas. Art’s community efforts include having been an adjunct professor teaching Corporate Tax at Catholic University Columbus School of Law; a frequent lecturer at tax conferences; a mentor to numerous colleagues; a volunteer financial advisor to a Women’s crisis center and an author of materials on corporate tax matters. Art is a licensed attorney in California and the District of Columbia. He is a member of the American, California and D.C. Bar Associations.
