About Arun C Mohan

After graduating from LSE, started working on a broad spectrum of intellectual property litigation cutting across trademark, patent and copyright laws. Also been working for over a decade on arbitrations, with an emphasis on infrastructure, tech and media. Since 2015 have been working on company and insolvency laws before the NCLT and NCLAT, with extensive experience in dealing with oppression and mismanagement matters across multiple jurisdictions. I’ve also worked on film finance issues for more than a decade, as it integrates copyright, contract and specific performance laws. I have also recently started working as an independent arguing counsel with an emphasis on commercial laws. I’ve always loved the academic side of the law, and have written for SpicyIP, Bar and Bench and the Wire. I have also spent time at NALSAR, Hyderabad as a guest lecturer on IPR litigation, and addressed various bodies including the National Police Academy on cybercrime issues. I have been associated with the Tamilnadu State Judicial Academy as a resource person for arbitration and IPR laws. I have since June' 2023 been engaged as "Of-Counsel" by Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, and work with their team on multiple commercial litigations. I’m an avid reader, and voraciously consume non-fiction works including autobiographies and works centric to legal history. Am also a fan of Indian fiction writing, and always on the lookout for new talent. A keen golfer, I’ve been on an uphill challenge to improve my game since 2018.
