Formulated specifications for optical transport and satellite communication equipment. Formulated mandatory requirements for users of INSAT satellite system for telecom and broadcast applications. Assisted BSNL in finalising tender worth US$ 35 million for VSAT based rural telecom network. Earned revenue of US$ 1 million in testing and certification of telecom products and telecom networks in Western India. Registered 40% growth in telephone connections in 2 years, despite competition, in Mandsaur & Neemuch Districts, also planned and initiated mobile network. Laid 200 route km. OF cable network. Expanded computer networks worth US$ 0.15 millionfor customer interfaces. Designed and built 20 medium and small size telecom buildings, resulting in immediate savings of US$ 1.5 million. Acquired 50 new land sites for telecom buildings, free of cost. Developed telecom infrastructure of Madhya Pradesh, tripling the number of telephone connections in 6 years. Established computer networks worth US$ 7.5 million, for customer interfaces. Influenced MP government to allot free land sites in all districts to MP Telecom Circle. Designed medium size telecom buildings to achieve immediate savings of over US$ 12.5 million. First State to launch Internet in MP Telecom Circle, and to launch its official web-site. Overhauled course for Training of Trainers to attract ITU and APT nominees, in ALTTC, the premier institute of DoT for training senior personnel. Developed a number of training courses. Saved US$ on customs duty. Delivered lectures on technical and management topics. Revitalised Janakpuri Strowger telephone exchange, quickly putting it back on track.
