About Arun Krishnan
I started my career as a Marine engineer and worked on-board oil tankers for 5 years. I then shifted to shore based job as a structural analyst after completion of my Masters in Naval Architecture from Newcastle University. In this role, which lasted for 2 years, I was in-charge of design and analysis of a 37.5K bulk carrier and a fast patrol vessel. I started my PhD in Hydroelasticity of ships using CFD/FEA coupling at University of Southampton in 2013. After completion of my PhD, I worked as a Research fellow for 2 years in a project involving improvement of ship performance and vessel efficiency of LNG ships using data analysis and CFD. I am currently working as a Hydrodynamic specialist in Deltamarin, Finland.
