Commissioned and Maintained the Zinc smelter Roaster plant as an in charge which includes Raw material handling section, Roaster section, Waste heat recovery boiler, Gas cleaning plant and Acid Plant. • Managing maintenance function with the implementation of predictive, planned and preventive maintenance practices, reduction in the breakdown, improvements in plants, cost optimization, modification/up gradation, safety and statuary compliance, improvement projects and developing SAP data. • Have done annual shutdown maintenance planning and executed successfully. • Created and implemented a schedule for PMI, Condition monitoring, and Lubrication. • Created and implemented PMI checklist for to assure the equipment reliability. • Created Work instructions and Standard Maintenance procedure. • Troubleshooting of equipment problem & doing Root cause analysis (RCFA), making an action plan to solve it permanently. Had given regular focus on repeated jobs or problems to eliminate them completely through innovative solutions. • Daily job planning, maintaining a record of daily jobs, equipment history, breakdown duration and analysis of breakdown. • Job safety analysis to find out the risk involved in the specific job and to eliminate the hazard to achieve the 100% safe workplace. • Identifying unsafe conditions and work for them to eliminate the hazard completely. Encourage colleagues and technicians to report Near miss without fail to eliminate the hazard involved. • Mechanical maintenance planning of Alumina refinery which includes budgeting, equipment spare parts, and consumables planning, inventory control, vendor development and contract management. • Central workshop in charge, responsible for repair and refurbishment of all refinery equipment (500 pumps, 300 gear boxes, and valves) and controlling of maintenance budget of 10 crores/ annum. Total maintenance workforce of 45 members.
