About Arunas Molis

Head of Regulatory projects at Ignitis Group, the former director of Klaipeda LNG with more than 20 years of experience in public administration, business strategy, project management, research and academic affairs. Since March 2022 I joined Ignitis Group - one of the largest energy groups in the Baltic region. Until December 2021 I worked as Klaipeda LNG terminal Project Executive at “Klaipedos nafta”, company which successfully operates large and small scale LNG terminals in Lithuania and Brazil. I was responsible for Regulatory affairs in the company and implementation of the Long term LNG supply project which encompasses purchase of the Floating storage and regasification unit and ensuring operation of the terminal after 2024. I am also engaged in academic affairs as I work as a professor at Vytautas Magnus (Kaunas, Lithuania) and Bologna (Italy) universities. Before starting my career at “Klaipedos nafta”, I worked for 4 years as an advisor to the President of the Republic of Lithuania at the Economic and social affairs group where I was responsible for energy and communication affairs. I joined the team of advisers after a successful work at NATO Energy Security Center of Excellence where I managed research projects aimed to raise energy awareness among the military personnel. What regards my education, I received phd in political science from Vilnius University, completed MA on European Studies at Hochschule Bremen and MA on International business law at Vytautas Magnus University (Kaunas). In 2021 I graduated Executive MBA studies at ISM University of Management and Economics. I have been working on various academic and research projects in Estonia, Germany, Czech Republic, France, South Africa and South Korea.
