About Aruni Shajkumar

Nanotechnology and Polymer scientist with a demonstrable 5+ years experience in nanostructures (yolk-shell nanostructures), graphene, carbon nanotubes, thin films, conductive polymer nanocomposites, synthesis of noble metal nanoparticles, block-copolymer self-assembly, and sol-gel synthesis of silica. I worked on devising a continuous flow through catalyst using yolk-shell nanoparticles. I have an extensive experience with various nanomaterial characterization techniques (microscopical and spectroscopical). I believe in the ideology of "today's science is tomorrow's technology". Therefore, I am interested to work with more real-time applications. Presently I am working as a research associate at the Laboratory for Advanced Research in Polymer Science (LARPM), CIPET, India, dealing with hybrid nanostructures for energy and optical applications. I am interested in multifunctional nanostructures and smart materials. Also, I am willing to explore new areas of research different from what I am dealing with now. Right now, I am actively searching for post-doctoral positions/research jobs preferably in India and Europe.
