About Arvan Jindam

I’m a senior at George Mason University pursuing a B.S. in Computational Data Science, graduating May 2026. With a blend of academic training and hands-on experience, I’m actively developing my skills in data analytics, programming (Python, C), IT systems, and infrastructure management. I’m currently an IT Intern at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (IALR), where I’ve continued my previous work in: • IT support and troubleshooting for staff and customers • Deploying network infrastructure and setting up devices • Imaging laptops, installing server hardware, and handling asset management systems • Resolving Help Desk tickets and addressing real-time tech issues Lately, I’ve been supporting the setup of the new Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) facility in Danville, VA — a program designed to rapidly train skilled workers for the naval shipbuilding and submarine industrial base. My role includes helping the IT team build out classroom networks and ensure smooth communication and system functionality. I also assist in organizing and setting up IT components for conferences and training events in a timely and professional manner. Outside of work, I’m deeply into cybersecurity and homelabbing. I’ve built self-hosted systems like Vaultwarden (secured with Let’s Encrypt), Pi-hole for network-wide ad blocking, and Proxmox for managing virtualized environments — all part of my mission to constantly learn and innovate.
