My journey into the world of graphic design began in 2015 when I moved to Mumbai, leaving behind my hometown in search of better opportunities. After completing my first year of B.Com, I took a leap of faith, bringing my family along as we settled into this vibrant city. It was during this transition that my cousin encouraged me to enroll in a three-month diploma in graphic design at Shankar Multimedia. Here, I learned the essentials of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and CorelDRAW, setting the foundation for my career. My first job at Adnet Global was a pivotal moment; I joined the team for Forever 21, where I was tasked with high-volume image retouching. Removing wrinkles from clothing and performing quick skin retouches for 60 to 80 images daily honed my skills and built my resilience. After 1.5 years, I took a step up and joined Blue Parrot Studio as a Retouching Artist. This role allowed me to work on catalog images for garments, and I had the unique opportunity to retouch portfolio images for some of the top Indian celebrities. The experience of delivering high-end retouching without compromising quality was invaluable. I spent two enriching years at Blue Parrot Studio. Currently, I am working at Vakils Premedia, where I joined the Hudson team. My responsibilities include retouching, color correction, cut-outs, hair masking, and many more tasks for various clients. The COVID-19 pandemic brought new challenges, but it also opened doors for me to learn Adobe InDesign. As my company pivoted to remote work, I embraced the opportunity to contribute to packaging projects for Sandisk and Western Digital. After a year in that role, I transitioned to another team focused on pharmaceutical packaging, where I primarily work on carton labels and Patient Information Leaflets (PILs). As I continue to grow in my career, I remain committed to refining my skills and staying adaptable to new trends and technologies in the design world. My journey so far has provided me with diverse experiences that I look forward to applying to future projects.
