About Arya Shae Walker

Trans Advocate | Nonprofit Founder | Community Leader in Rural Idaho As a proud trans man and a passionate advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, I am dedicated to pioneering resources and support for trans individuals, especially in rural areas. I founded the first-ever Idaho Trans Resource Fair, which successfully brought together over 300 attendees, featuring 20 booths and distributing thousands of pieces of transition wear. This event not only celebrated our community but also addressed the critical needs for visibility and access to resources. In my commitment to supporting trans individuals, I also established Trans Affirm, a nonprofit organization focused on prioritizing trans resources and community education. My work is rooted in trauma-informed practices, ensuring that all individuals feel safe and supported. I am Narcan and CPR trained, equipping me to contribute to the health and well-being of my community. With a bachelor’s degree in Child and Psychology, I leverage my education to advocate for mental health and well-being among LGBTQ+ youth. My role as a Boards and Commissions Fellow and Mentor with Conservation Voters of Idaho has allowed me to combine my passion for advocacy with leadership, mentoring others to become effective change-makers.
