As a Chemical Engineering graduate with a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering, I have developed a comprehensive skillset tailored to the wastewater treatment sector. My expertise includes process engineering and design, with hands-on experience utilizing advanced wastewater modeling platforms such as GPS-X and Sumo. During my doctoral research, I focused on the application of Bio-Electrochemical Sensors (BESs) for real-time plant-wide carbon monitoring in water resource recovery facilities. This work involved integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) algorithms to analyze BES signals, enhancing the prediction and tracking of carbon metabolism and uptake in wastewater treatment processes. Complementing my research, I have earned the IBM Data Science Professional Certificate, which provided me with practical experience in web scraping, data wrangling, exploratory data analysis, and dashboard development using Plotly and Dash. This certification also strengthened my proficiency in relational databases (SQL) and various ML techniques, including supervised/unsupervised algorithms, time-series forecasting, and advanced learning algorithms such as artificial neural networks (ANNs) and tree ensembles. I am adept at employing widely used Python libraries, including NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Keras, TensorFlow, Seaborn, and Matplotlib to implement these techniques effectively. In addition, I hold the Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certification, which has equipped me with a solid understanding of cloud concepts and Azure architecture. This certification underscores my proficiency in core Azure services, security, compliance, management, and cost optimization strategies within the Azure ecosystem.
