About Asger Eir

Besides my professional work in the software industry, I do research within various areas. My research interests include:* Software specification: Domain + Requirements + Design * Modelling and Knowledge representation * Denotational semantics in domain modelling * Philosophy, Language and Communication * Design, Philosophy of Design, and Artefaction * Construction Informatics; see my definition of this concept in my PhD thesis from 2004: Construction Informatic - issues in Engineering, Computer Science and Philosophy. The work studies aspects of the interdisciplinary area between computer science, construction and design, and philosophy. The next couple of years I published revised versions of chapters from the thesis, along with papers of new comming ideas within my interest subjects. My research concerns domain and requirements engineering, modelling and specification principles, philosophy of language and properties and causation. To me, domain engineering issues are deeply rooted in philosophical clarifications. Specialties: Computer and Computing Science.
