About Ash Zaveri

I graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, and I have been working as a Transportation Engineering Associate at the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) since 2019. My core competencies include design and construction management, traffic signal engineering, and project management. As a project manager, I oversee the simultaneous construction of multiple traffic signals and city civil infrastructure improvement projects with over 100 locations valued over $10 million. I manage teams of contractors and sub-contractors, establish project guidelines and schedule, organize meetings, and ensure quality deliverables. I also lead field investigations, provide on-site engineering support and solutions, and authorize changes within the project parameters and budget contingencies. Additionally, I have a certification in California Building Plans Examiner and an Engineer In Training license issued by the State of California. I am passionate about improving the safety and efficiency of transportation systems in the city, and I enjoy applying my skills and knowledge in nautical science and sailing, which I gained from being a teaching assistant at USC, to my projects. I value collaboration, innovation, and diversity, and I strive to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team.
