About Asha Blake

Asha Blake is a five-time Emmy award-winning television news journalist and producer. She is also founder & CEO of Goldenheart Media, a media training and booking company. In addition, Asha is presently working on developing new series for streaming and network TV platforms. Her forthcoming inspirational memoir will detail her groundbreaking journey through the wild and unpredictable TV news landscape. She has the distinction of being the first South Asian to hold national anchor roles at two major networks, ABC's "World News" and NBC's third hour of "Today." Prior to ABC and NBC, Asha worked at several local top market news stations. She produced and hosted special programming that garnered 12 Emmy nominations for cast and crew members. Her volunteer service takes many forms. After 9-11, Asha created the national charity website, 4MyEmergency.com. This project assisted people in planning for unexpected emergencies. In addition, she has hosted several charity auctions that raised millions of dollars for causes and worked as a celebrity ambassador for UNICEF. She was recently credentialed as a Domestic Violence Counselor and spends her Sunday mornings as a counselor on the Suicide Hotline in Los Angeles.
