Background
About Asha Stenzel
In May 2014, I graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education Foundations. In August 2015, I began an Initial Licensure/Master's program at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in Early Childhood Education and graduated in May 2015. Currently, I am a first grade teacher at Lucy Laney @ Cleveland Park Elementary. I have a deep passion for teaching children in urban, multicultural settings within K-3rd grade. I seek to provide children with positive experiences in all domains of development; socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively, and creatively. I believe all children deserve access to quality educational programming that is developmentally and culturally appropriate. I firmly believe that a strong relationship between the teacher and family is critical in a student's success in the classroom. As a future teacher, I seek to better myself personally and professionally through active conversations with colleagues and mentors, as well as through leadership opportunities and conferences, etc. I will continually strive to enhance the opportunities for the children I interact with on a daily basis.
