About Asher Roe

I am a self-driven and skilled multidisciplinary professional with a passion for optimization and efficiency. I graduated from UNCW in 2015 with a B.S. in Business Administration and a concentration in MIS (Management Information Systems). Through college, I explored multiple areas of interest as I majored in 6 different areas of study: Film, Psychology, Biology, Computer Science, Graphic Design, and MIS. During that time, I acquired skills in C#, SQL, Java, HTML and CSS; as well as experience working with a variety of software such as: SQL Server Database, Visual Studio (ASP.net), Windows Microsoft Server 2012/R2, MS Office Suite (Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), etc. After college, I joined Jason International where I held several key positions in a highly demanding and fast paced environment. Among those positions- I was the lead programmer for the manufacturing robot, coding new programs for new product models and patching emergency issues (programming as well as physical - electrical/engineering) that arose during production. Additionally, I analyzed all 200+ product models in the product catalogue for bottlenecks in production and programmed improvements to maximize efficiency - increasing our overall production rate by 5% and reducing scrap- I was the supervisor to the Trim and Drill department, where I oversaw all robot operations and drilling procedures. Ensuring products flowed seamlessly from one department to the next and improving both daily production rate and managing employee's time more efficiently. Interested in exploring an alternative career path in the legal field, I moved back to Raleigh in 2019 where I worked at IBM as an Immigration Case Manager. In this position, I managed case files for visa applicants, completed and certified Labor Condition Applications, wrote support letters to USCIS, and provided counsel to employees and hiring managers. During the pandemic, I joined Ogletree Deakins in 2021 where I have been working as an Immigration Paralegal. ln this role, I process F-1 STEM OPT/EAD Extensions, drafting and filing applications for beneficiaries. l have also been using my skills to analyze our processes and increase case throughput by 20% since last year. Additionally, identifying bottlenecks in processing and making recommendations for additional improvements.
