About Ashfaque Khan

Ash Khan is a General Counsel specialising in real estate/development advising on transactions in excess of EUR 75m and ranging to EUR 500m. At Faro Capital and IPGL he was Senior Counsel and director at Faro. Prior to joining Faro, Ash worked in-house with JP Morgan on a Brexit delivery project before he became interim General Counsel for a high-net-worth family concerning their joint multimillion residential and commercial property portfolio. During his career in private practice, Ash would assist on the purchases (and subsequent management and regears of leases and pre-let agreements) of sites for largely acquisitive clients, such as venture capital firms and developers, in a wide range of sectors including residential development, retail, leisure and industrial property. He holds an LLB in Law from Kings College London and an LLM (Masters) in International Business Law from University College London. Ash is also the trustee of two registered charities, based in Newham, providing legal advice on mainly real estate and property related matters. Legal background is in real estate and experience includes advising on complex development, hotels, cross border transactions and financings and all aspects of the landlord and tenant relationship; the exploitation of freehold and leasehold property including sales and acquisitions, re-gears and development; and advising lenders/borrowers on taking security over commercial property whether the structure is onshore or offshore. Advised banks, institutional and other investors (including venture capitalists), developers, borrowers and occupiers in a wide range of sectors including retail, hospitality (focus on luxury), leisure and industrial property.
