Trained as a protein NMR spectroscopist I have complete experience in starting a project from the scratch. The work not just helped generate funds for the lab but fetched 5 publications and two doctoral degrees.I am a protein biochemist with expertise in solution NMR spectroscopy but have a vast experience in employing various biophysical techniques like - fluorescence, CD, DLS, ITC, analytical ultracentrifugation, mass spectrometry - to understand protein structure and function. Worked in close collaboration with other structural biologists, especially crysrtallographers and mass spectrometrist to investigate structural properties of membrane proteins.Proficient in various NMR methodologies applicable to small molecules as well as large macromolecules. Been one of the main contributors of a project that investigated the role of a peptide based drug molecule in alleviating the effect of Alzheimer's protein, APP. One of the main contributors of a $325,254 project that helped understand the topological features of a multi-drug resistant protein (an integral membrane protein), SMR.Well versed with protein structure and model building softwares, with complete experience in using membrane Rossetta that builds a structure ab-initio. A team player, lateral thinker and like to employ different tools to understand and tackle a problem.
