About Ashis Brahma

I am a storyteller and a forensic medical doctor with over 20 years of experience in infectious disease control, forensic medicine, and tropical medicine. I currently work as a self-employed storyteller and as a forensic medical doctor at GGD Brabant Zuid-Oost, Drenthe, Fryslan, Gelderland Midden, Gelderland Zuid, Groningen, Haaglanden, HECHT, Noord-en Oost Gelderland, Noord Limburg, Twente, IJsselland, Zuid Limburg where I apply my expertise to make public health thrive in the Netherlands and globally. I own two companies: Nishanish and Dokterashis both to facilitate: Application of art in health for example storytelling to share my knowledge and insights with diverse audiences, inspire curiosity and empathy, and contribute to positive social change. I have co-published a book (Utmost) on the experiences of health professionals in emergency and humanitarian settings. A podcast (Planetary Health Talks) is connecting and having dialogue with experts who from a trans disciplinary approach highlight the plight of the planet. And there is the website: During the Covid-19 pandemic I had the great opportunity to engage in dialogue in different media: local, regional, national and international television, radio, newspapers, magazines, podcasts and vod casts. My current missions involve- finding thriving methods to apply artificial intelligence in the field of healthcare - engaging in play shops by using role play and storytelling to address planetary health - writing poetry and a book / painting / making music Namaskar to all
