About Ashish Jalli

A social sector professional with keen interest in roles related to Research, M&E and Implementation under the thematic areas of livelihoods, skill development, financial inclusion and community mobilization. Being a participant from the bottom of the social strata with the privilege of getting a higher education, I am well aware of the constraints that a person from the rural India faces and what keeps them lagging behind the mainstream growth and economy. Hence, I have this basic objective of contributing to the social sector and balancing the disparity in the opportunities that we have among the participants of this society and that's what drives me to work in the social sector. During my course curriculum (PGDM-RM) at IRMA, I have had experience of interning with BAIF Development Research Foundation with their Midline Impact Assessment of BISA Project ( Climate Smart Village approach promoted by US AID, CGIAR and BISA in five clusters of Betul district, Madhya Pradesh). Where I calculated the Social Return on Investment (SROI) and Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) of different project interventions by collecting data and performing proper analysis through MS Excel and R programming.(Data collection included sampling designing & administering of survey in 125 households of the project area) In the Village field work segment (VFS), I worked with Aga Khan Rural Support Program (India) in Barwani district, Madhya Pradesh on their Sustainable Rural Governance project where they were trying to implement a Management Information System (MIS) for the effective and transparent governance at Panchayat Level. I have always tried to balance my studies with extra curriculars and have been proactive in taking leadership roles. Have served as the Class Representative of PRM39 and was the Ex-officio representative of the batch in the Academic Council of IRMA and was responsible for coordinating, guiding and monitoring the activities of all the committees. From winning the National level B-School competitions to organizing the grand sporting and technical events at IRMA, there were many occasions where I have demonstrated my leadership and management skills. In last two years I have worked on many academic projects in Project management, Marketing Analytics, Development interventions and Strategic Management. Have authored a chapter of a book titled "Change Management for Development Sector Organizations" for Mahatma Gandhi National Council for Rural Education (MGNCRE, Hyderabad) with three of my other peers from PRM39, IRMA.
