I investigate how actors create and consume Accounting Information. My research explores dimensions underpinning the accounting choices, accounting processes and outcomes, which have relevance for multiple stakeholders, in multiple contexts. I deliver a specialized accounting seminar course “Framing Management Accounting Research” to Doctoral candidate(s) in IMT Ghaziabad and have also designed another seminar on “Conversations in Audit Research”. I presently serve as Associate Editor of the IMT Journal Paradigm MRJ (Sage Publication) and I am also the Track Co-chair in ItAIS 2022, Italy. My current research projects contribute to the Managerial Accounting and Control literature which intersects with ‘sustainability’ and ‘digitalization’ initiatives of firms. I also contribute to the conversation surrounding technology in accounting information processing and managerial decision making. My prior works have been published in prestigious journals such as Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal ABDC= A*; Scopus), International Journal of Digital Accounting Research (IJDAR; ABDC=B; Scopus), Journal of Financial Reporting and Accounting (JFRA; ABDC= C; Scopus), Journal of Management and Governance (JMG; ABDC=C; Scopus), International Journal of Organizational Analysis (IJOA; ABDC=B; Scopus), International Journal of Management and Decision Making (IJMDM; Scopus), Journal of Information, Communication and Ethics in Society,( ABDC = B; Scopus) etc. My research draws upon multiple theories and frameworks, and I use both Qualitative methods and Quantitative methods to investigate the phenomenon of interest. In some prior works, I have studied the interplay of managerial actions, perception, judgement, preferences on firm level, department level and individuals operating performance in the context of emerging markets. Besides Journal Articles, I also author teaching cases for class discussion amongst MBA students which have been published by The Case Centre, UK and E.T Cases and have been used as teaching resource in top ranked business schools in Europe and Asia. I contribute articles on contemporary themes for the practicing accounting professionals as well. I am a Fellow member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, earned my Ph.D from CCS University and have an MBA in Finance from FORE School of Management, New Delhi.
