About Ashley Anyadike

Growing up, I never really had any idea what I wanted to do as a career, which is why upon graduation from high school I decided to take a gap year, and with the guidance of my parents I accepted a position as an intern at the National Human Rights Commission of Nigeria. During my internship, I developed a strong passion for using the law as a tool to help people. I experienced a paradigm shift and decided to study law and enrolled in Griffith College, Dublin in 2019. Whilst in college I began working at JD sports to gain work experience, currently, I work as a Retail Cashier and Ladies' Managerial Trainee at Bershka, Dundrum. Over the course of my three years of college and one and a half years in retail, I have acquired a variety of transferable skills, including interpersonal, writing, organizational, leadership, multitasking, problem-solving, time-management, and teamwork skills amongst others. I use these skills in my daily tasks and interactions with customers and co-workers, which in turn helped me win the award for employee of the month in November 2022. I am currently looking for an entry-level career opportunity, primarily in the legal sector, although I am open to other industries. I would like to end with a quote from Vincent Van Gogh which states:"Your profession is not what brings home your paycheck. Your profession is what you were put on earth to do with such passion and such intensity that it becomes spiritual in calling".
