About Ashley Aron

Trombonist Ashley Aron enjoys a diverse career, playing in orchestras, musicals, jazz ensembles, and various chamber groups. However, becoming a full-time musician was never a goal for young Ashley. Instead, she busied herself in elementary school and high school pursuing a potential career in engineering, competing all over Arizona through her school’s Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement club. One way or another, she always found a way to stay involved in her school’s ensembles. Eventually, Ashley love for music grew and she abandoned engineering in favor of pursuing a music career full time. On a full scholarship, she attended The University of Arizona for a Bachelor of Music in Trombone Performance and then went on to study at the University of Michigan for a Master of Music in Trombone Performance, she graduated Cum Laude and Summa Cum Laude respectively. Her music has since taken her all over the world, performing throughout the United States and Europe. Now residing in Tucson, Arizona, Ashley spends her time as a trombone teacher and freelance performer. She enjoys being involved in her community and likes to spend her free time walking around farmers markets, sitting in local coffee shops, and soaking up the Southwest sun at various parks when she can.
