About Ashley Arya

It doesn't have to be easy, it just has to be possible. Thomas Edison said that genius is 1% inspiration, 99% perspiration. With my task list in hand, I am committed to focusing on the work until greatness is achieved. I use my 20+ years of experience to organize, facilitate, fund, and lead teams.and try to include a little fun along the way. I have a keen focus on systems, strategy, and operations. I enjoy building systems and structures to help mission-driven organizations grow and strengthen their impact. I thrive when leading and managing multiple projects that engage a variety of associates towards a common goal. My focus, discipline, and partnership assist me in engaging data to drive decision making and implement the best strategies that map to a mission. No matter what I am directing my energy towards (business development, finance, or getting down and dirty in the day-to-day operations), you can be sure it will have a positive impact as the end result, but I make sure that the team of people working towards that end result is being positively influenced along the way, too. As a closed captioner and court reporter, I was working in the industry as it was rapidly changing - paperless steno machines were emerging and instant digital captions became the norm. I succeeded at adapting to the revolutionary changes, dealt with the daily pressures of the job, and used my dogged resourcefulness to make the impossible possible. I built Arya Captioning before I graduated from college and over 17 years we grew to serve the world. I have pivoted to work in higher ed and with small businesses to create processes and hold teams accountable to reaching product and fiscal goals. I have contributed to strategic plans and mission statements to align values with corporate strategy. The best thing about my life and across all of my careers is that I have been doing exciting things, meeting exciting people, and learning something new every day. I cannot wait to continue to learn and grow and use my unique skillset to solve hard problems with coworkers I admire. My genius is that I use my skills to change the world one day at a time.
