About Ashley Barthel
My clinical interests include veterinary access to care and compassionate hospice and end-of-life care. I am a graduate of the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) Power of 10 leadership academy and previously served on the CVMA Chapter 6 (Denver) leadership team. I have a passion for education, advocacy, and veterinary wellbeing. I completed several courses under the joint DVM/MPH program at the University of Illinois while in veterinary school, and have resumed coursework through an online format with the University of Illinois, Chicago, School of Public Health. My expected graduation with an MPH in Health Policy and Administration is December 2023. I am passionate about the veterinarian's role in public health and policy. I especially have an interest in One Health, regulatory medicine, and organized veterinary medicine.
