Background
About Ashley Behr
I have been passionately working in adult education for 15 years. I have experience in research, instruction, curriculum development, project management, digital literacy, advising, and coaching. The majority of my background has been teaching in adult settings including corporate training, college and career readiness for adults (adult basic education), and higher education. Through research, education, and advising, my aim has been to provide tools and resources to address needs regarding literacy, economic stability, and self-empowerment. My most recent explorations have focused on how adult educators and counselors can help people impacted by trauma and social stigma. More broadly, my interests and concentrations include: adult education, organizational leadership and professional development, culturally responsive education, social justice, cross-cultural counseling, LGBTQ studies, family social science, and couples and relationship education.
