About Ashley Boden

With over a decade of international school experience, I have served as Head of English for Middle & High School, AP Capstone teacher, and High School English Honors teacher in my previous role, and my current role is as a Middle and High School English Literature teacher and PE teacher. This role transition has further strengthened my commitment to holistic education, supporting students’ intellectual, physical, and personal growth, while continuing to refine my craft in two disciplines I care deeply about.My classroom experience has ignited a genuine passion for student mentorship and continues to shape my dynamic, student-centered teaching style. This foundation propelled me into meaningful leadership roles, where over the past five years I have contributed to curriculum development, provided significant support for WASC applications, strengthened departmental culture, and driven positive change across the broader school community.My fluency in Chinese remains a key asset, enabling me to bridge international educational standards with local cultural expectations, something I believe is a vital element in international education. This linguistic and cultural awareness helps me build strong relationships with students and parents, fostering a supportive, inclusive, and globally minded learning environment. I believe deeply in the power of cross-cultural understanding and continuously work to create a space where students from diverse backgrounds can thrive both academically and personally.Outside the classroom, I am an active individual with a passion for fitness, travel, and cultural exploration. My long-standing interest in food, writing, and culture led me to create a food blog showcasing Taipei’s vibrant culinary landscape.
