About Ashley Brewer

My name is Ashley but, you can call me Jack, Jack of all trades, that is. I love learning new skills and developing personally and professionally.I currently boast the title of Office Manager for a small commercial plumbing company. What that actually means is that I am the entire Human Resource Department, Payroll Department, Fleet Manager, Benefits Director, Safety Supervisor, Executive Assistant, IT Expert, Insurance Administrator, oh yeah, and I manage the office. I am truly blessed to be in the position I am in and to have the support that I needed to grow from “the temp that answers the phones” to my current position. Reinventing myself is nothing new and I have learned many other skills within this company including accounting, purchasing, and even brief practice with bidding projects and AutoCAD. That’s not even to mention all the skills I’ve learned in life and other employment. Instead of listing everything just ask yourself, “yeah, that’s cool and all but, has she done The answer is either going to be “yes” or “not yet.”Because I have been fortunate enough to have support in my own growth I know how important that is for the employees I work with to have that same support. I always strive to be available to everyone I work with. To be the voice of encouragement, direction, reason, and the biggest fan they have in celebrating their successes. We all know that mom sitting in the bleachers with the airhorn. Yeah, that’s me, maybe a little obnoxious but everyone knows that, win or lose, she is still going to be there. I know the general consensus is that HR is only there to protect the company and in some ways that is true, my job is to protect the company however, I firmly believe the best way to accomplish that is by protecting and supporting the employees. Happy, supported employees are only going to serve to build up a company and strong companies build employees. I am not afraid of a challenge and change is my bread and butter.
