I've been having roadblocks. Even though the state of Kentucky is making it difficult for African Americans and minorities to practice in the state and to sit to take the Kentucky bar, I have an advantage where I still may know just as much as a practicing attorney, and I will continue to use what I know to my advantage. There's not one single African American and/or minority on the Kentucky Bar Association, and Kentuckians need to do something about that. The world is changing, people's thoughts and behaviors are conflicting among itself because of "the change" they are not willingly to accept, but eventually will have to for the sake of unity and justice for "ALL" people. Unfortunately, I had a couple career breaks rather it was for being in school, graduating, job offers, being laid off, and needing a much better job. I'm not going to beat myself up about it. It is what it is. I'm not the first, and I won't be the last. In Bowling Green, KY, we barely have enough jobs to go around, and depending on what you're trying to accomplish, and the pay rates are horrible, where no one can survive off of just working one job. I have been very blessed to be on the career path I'm on now.
