About Ashley Derrigo

I graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. After graduation, I accepted a staff accountant position with a San Diego County restaurant company where I learned the specifics of accounting for the restaurant industry. I joined Halverson & Company in July 2013. On January 1, 2016 I was promoted to senior accountant at the firm! At the firm I managed several accounts, staff, and administrative activities. My daily to do's included restaurant accounting, as well as, growing my knowledge in tax accounting. After 3 years at Halverson & Company I found that it was time for me to grow in a different environment. This led me to Burtech Pipeline, Inc. A construction and plumbing company in Encinitas, CA. At this company I am not only managing the bookkeeping, I am managing three offices, helping in human resources, creating a new plumbing division and assisting the Vice President of operations on the majority of her daily tasks. Although I am no longer at a CPA firm I am still looking to obtain my license. I am currently taking classes at SDSU Extension to receive my tax certificate. As soon as I obtain my tax certificate, I will start to take the exams necessary to obtain my CPA license. On a lighter note, I am an avid tennis player, love hiking, and have competed in triathlons.
