Background

About Ashley Geldmeier

I’m a technically driven, forward-thinking data analyst early in my career, with a strong foundation in programming, data engineering, and software development. My passion lies in process optimization; understanding how things work, identifying inefficiencies, and designing clean, scalable solutions that make people’s jobs easier. I approach problems with a “keep it simple” mindset and a bias toward long-term impact rather than quick fixes. I’ve already built automated CRON jobs, R packages, databases, and Shiny apps for self-service analytics. These experiences have honed my ability to think systemically and execute efficiently, skills that will serve me as I move toward a Data Scientist I or II role. I’m also deeply motivated by growth. I value continuous learning, intellectual curiosity, and cross-team collaboration. My focus is on increasing my knowledge in machine learning workflows in R and developing my communication and leadership presence. Ultimately, my career goal is to blend deep technical expertise with strategic influence, leading large-scale data initiatives, driving automation across organizations, and mentoring others in building efficient, intelligent systems. I want to be known not just for what I build, but for how I elevate teams and modernize processes.
