About Ashley Gray

I'm a self-confessed social media addict who is passionate about bringing people together to create impactful, and sometimes out-the-box, initiatives to cut through the noise and disrupt the norm. I love to be challenged and am constantly in search of new inspiration. I began my career at Beef + Lamb New Zealand Inc as a Marketing and Communications Executive, underpinned by a degree in Public Relations. In time, I took on the role of General Manager, overseeing all marketing activity, communications, budgets and staff for a number of years. After relocating to Sydney in 2019 and with a deeper understanding of the challenges facing the international meat sector, I founded the Global Meat Alliance, an international network that aims to support a better connected, aligned global meat sector by arming industry with accumulated insights, best practice and collaboration opportunities to combat shared challenges in the pre-competitive space. I am also the CEO of the World Butchers’ Challenge, having been involved in its development since it’s inception in 2011. In addition to managing a small but passionate team, I’m at the forefront of sponsorship, PR and event management. I established my own consultancy, Array Brands, in 2019 and consult on a number of strategic industry projects including running the two major portfolios highlighted above.
