About Ashley Harriott

I am currently a third year student at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy striving to become a leader in patient care. My expected graduation date is May 2025 when I will officially become a proud double gator. Prior to pharmacy school, I obtained a Bachelors of Health Science from the University of Florida where I discovered my passion for pharmacy. Various positions I held in undergrad inspired me to pursue a career that serves others and prioritizes health. During pharmacy school, I have pushed myself to grow both personally and professionally. Being a Pharmacy Intern at UF’s Student Health Care Center Pharmacy has enabled me to gain experience with patient interaction, pharmacy processes, and interprofessional collaboration. As a Student Ambassador for the college, I have strengthened my mentoring and public speaking skills while representing UF Pharmacy at outreach programs. I am also involved in UF’s Industry Pharmacists Organization (IPhO) as the VIP Case Competition Co-coordinator. In this position, I lead four functional groups throughout the drug development process and facilitate communication amongst stakeholders. Additionally, through my membership in the professional pharmaceutical fraternity Phi Delta Chi (PDC), I have demonstrated our four pillars: service, scholarship, leadership, and brotherhood. The experiences and connections I have gained through these positions will be invaluable to my current and future success in Pharmacy. Post-graduate, my current career goals include starting a PGY-1 pharmacy residency in the health systems setting and becoming a clinical pharmacist in the Tampa Bay Area. I also have interest in exploring the pharmaceutical industry and ambulatory care setting. Outside of the world of pharmacy, I enjoy traveling, trying local restaurants, and watching movies. I'm looking forward to networking with like-minded peers and mentors as well as searching for opportunities that foster growth. As always, go gators!
