About Ashley Hattie

As a dedicated Nurse Practitioner at Nationwide Children's Hospital, I specialize in the management children with pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary vein stenosis. With over 15 years of experience in healthcare, including 7 years as a Nurse Practitioner and 8 years as a Cardiac ICU Nurse, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my role. I hold a Doctorate in Nursing and am a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. In my current role, I lead the pulmonary hypertension consult service, providing expert guidance and support to both patients, families and medical staff. Additionally, I see patients in the clinic, ensuring they receive comprehensive and personalized care from diagnosis through home. My additional responsibilities include assisting patients in obtaining medication coverage and working with insurance companies to secure medication approvals. As a member of our hospital's Advanced Providers Council, I am committed to advancing the practice and leadership of advanced practice providers. In addition to my clinical work, I have taught nursing clinicals for 3 years in both pediatric and adult settings, sharing my knowledge and passion for nursing with the next generation of healthcare professionals. I have had the honor of presenting a poster at a national conference, showcasing my dedication to continuous learning and professional development to my current field. I am passionate about transforming the healthcare landscape in our country. I am eager to leverage technology to enhance patient care and outcomes, and I am driven to build successful systems that achieve this.
