About Ashley Jackson

Hi! I worked as an intern for four years throughout my junior year of high school, ending my sophomore year of college. I was with Metro Regional Government apart of the internship cohort for youth of color to bridge the gap between high school and post high school. Within that internship I learned a variety of admin skills such as: Planning, coordinating meetings, interviewing, and tabling events. After my internship ended, I begun my journey in hospitality while studying for my communication degree at Portland State University. In hospitality I worked primarily front desk. There I learned how to provide excellent customer service for the guests staying at the hotel by answering phone calls and emails. Following up with guests about any inquiries as well as multitasking internally between the departments of the hotels. I would like to pursue a career that combines both my hospitality work, admin skills, and communication degree. HR is a career I am interested in diving into.
