About Ashley Lemanski

I am an emergency department (ED) nurse with over six years of experience working at level 1 trauma centers (Grant Medical Center and Vanderbilt Medical Center). My passion is caring for critical care patients and victims of sexual assault. I am a dedicated life long learner and have obtained several specialty certifications including Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN), and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner - Adult/Adolescent (SANE-A). I enjoy teaching and precepting others, especially new graduate nurses. In my time in the ED, I have worked in a variety of roles including staff nurse, preceptor, charge nurse, clinical staff leader, and assistant manager. I have worked extensively with improving patient experience in the ED through patient rounding, developing and implementing a discharge checklist, collaborating with nutrition services to implement room service, collaborating with environmental services to improve cleanliness, and training staff on compassionate communication and hourly rounding. I am also actively involved in quality improvement committees and dedicated to providing high quality care based on evidence based practice.
