About Ashley Moreira

At the heart of every transformation—whether in education, business, or leadership—is a story. My research and work explore how strategic storytelling shapes organizational culture, drives meaningful change, and strengthens communication in complex environments. As a first-generation student, former NCAA Division II All-American, and award-winning educator, I’ve spent my career fostering learning, connection, and growth. In the classroom, I’ve been recognized as a Teacher of the Year and a District Teacher of the Year finalist, driven by a deep commitment to empowering students. Beyond education, I’ve leveraged my expertise in recruitment and coaching to bridge the gap between learning and leadership, helping individuals and teams thrive. Now, as I complete my doctoral research, I’m focused on the intersection of organizational storytelling, culture, and change—unpacking how narratives shape identity, influence decision-making, and drive transformation in both education and business. My work examines how institutions craft and sustain narratives, and what happens when those narratives diverge from lived experience. I believe in the power of communication to build trust, foster innovation, and create lasting impact.
