About Ashley Penberthy

Having attained my degree in Zoology/ Biology with a pre-medical focus and a minor in Neuroscience, I have developed into my position as a Social Science Program Coordinator/ Whole Health Coach. I have worked as a Research Assistant in a Behavioral Zoology lab at Miami University, participated in the ABC Scribe Academy program, and volunteered as an Information Desk Consultant at Southwest General Health Center. These experiences led me to my previous positions in the Emergency Department with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as well as having served as a Patient Care Nursing Assistant in a Post Operative, Inpatient Unit at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. Along with healthcare administration and hospital familiarity, I have developed knowledge and experience on how to put patients and customers at ease. I have developed skills in marketing and communication while serving as Director of Communications for the Miami University Cleveland Alumni Chapter. As a civic leader, I continue to serve as a member of the Junior League of Cleveland. This is complimented by my organizational skills, which have been displayed in leadership roles as lead unit preceptor, role on various hospital committees, and successful completion of the Cleveland Clinic Career Ladder. My leadership skills are further displayed through my roles within the Kappa Delta Panhellenic Sorority as Putting On The Hits Choreographer and Coach, Historian, Set Leader and Spirit Chair.
