About Ashley Pricer

While being early in my career as an educator, my educational and personal experiences have enriched me greatly. My time at the University of Arizona went beyond my concentration in Elementary Education to also include a minor in Family Studies Human Development. My curriculum included three years of child development and educational coursework, as well as four semesters in diverse classrooms. From a professional work experience perspective, latest kindergarten long-term substituting experience, as well as prior experiences as a student intern, student teacher, and substitute teacher have all given me specialized and hands-on learning opportunities. I currently provide an international English learning experience to Chinese children through a virtual classroom. My most valuable learning has been from what teaching is all about…the children. My conversations, mistakes, lessons, and all my experiences through various demographics, classrooms, and districts have molded, taught, and prepared me for the future. Lastly, it is very important to note that my college and post-college work experiences have been upon a foundation of a love for children and a desire to see them grow. Beginning as a young child babysitting for 10+ years, as well as teaching in my church’s children ministry for 14 years, through later participation in international children’s missionary work, all illustrate and support my knowledge, understanding, and love for children. My various roles have given me real life experiences and insight that have developed transferable skills. I look forward to integrating this passion, experience, knowledge, and positivity through shaping young minds while facilitating their personal and academic growth.
